Make agentic coding useful for your research.

One-on-one sessions with Aniket on Claude Code and Codex for economics research.

§ 01

What we can work on

Setup

Attack your real research problem together

A great way to use our time is to come with a particular research problem in mind which you want to tackle with Claude Code or Codex. I can see live how you do things, identify gaps in your learning you ought to address, and provide immediate workflow optimizations based on what I see.

Workflow

Combining Codex and Claude Code

I use Codex, Claude Code, and GPT Pro all together, while most economists are familiar with only one of these tools. I can help you choose the one, or combination, that's best for you, and the interface that works best for your workflow.

Leverage

Encode the patterns you keep repeating

I find most economists underuse skills. We can look inside your projects for opportunities to make or adapt skills, then think through how to chain them together effectively.

§ 02

How the session works

01

Prerequisites

Before the call, unless you want my help installing things, make sure prerequisites such as Claude Code, Codex, Wispr Flow, Git, and similar tools are already installed and available. You can see a full set of prerequisites in the booking link.

02

Come prepared with specific questions

If you come prepared with questions, we can bulldoze through them effectively in a short period of time. Alternatively, I'm happy to just "vibe" and point out opportunities to improve your workflow as we work on a specific project: editing a draft, making a replication package, building a slide deck, or something similar.

03

After the call

I'll send you the transcript and recording immediately afterwards. I recommend you pass the transcript to your coding agent so it can more easily find and recall important lessons from the session.

Learning the frontier of agentic coding practices from Aniket has been a rewarding experience! Aniket is passionate about the topic and extremely knowledgeable. He has a talent for explaining complex topics clearly. Much of the content online about agentic coding is geared toward building apps, so having Aniket tailor the material to my specific needs was incredibly helpful.

The fact that Aniket gears the material specifically to economists rather than to a generic technical audience makes a huge difference. I would strongly recommend the course to any economics department, and honestly to any social scientist.

Aniket introduced me to a whole new magical world of agentic coding and helped me get up to speed far faster than I could have on my own. My productivity across many tasks skyrocketed, and my reliance on research assistants decreased substantially. I recommend Aniket 100% to any economist getting up to speed with agentic coding.

Aniket is an amazing teacher and showed me how to effectively incorporate Claude Code into my research. Highly recommended for any economist trying to level up their workflow. For economists working with messy data or complex empirical workflows, this is a productivity boom, and working with Aniket will pay immediate dividends.

Aniket has quickly gotten me up to speed on Claude Code for applied microeconomics research. My comfort zone is Stata and Dropbox, but he's helped me learn to be effective in a terminal, which I would have never expected, and I'm starting to even use Claude Code to tackle bigger, structural projects which would have previously been infeasible for me. Aniket's really an expert at explaining the parts of agentic coding which are relevant for economists - I can't recommend him enough if you're looking to use these tools for social science.

Common questions

Do I need prior experience with Claude Code or Codex?

No, I'm happy to meet you wherever you are: whether you're completely new to these tools, and whether or not you write code at all. "Claude Code" is a bit of a misnomer. Both Claude Code and Codex are general-purpose knowledge work tools, so we can work to improve your coding, writing, research, or really any part of what you do as an economist.

Can we work with sensitive data?

I'm happy to discuss strategies for sensitive data. This is a topic I'm actively researching and thinking about, since I have several institutional clients interested in using AI in restricted data environments.

Which tools can the session cover?

We can cover Claude Code, Codex, or both, time permitting. I recommend strongly against Cursor or Copilot, and will not do sessions using those tools.

Do you offer group workshops?

Yes. If you want to bring agentic coding training to a department, research center, cohort, or institution, I also run group workshops for economists.
